It’s good experience for the family. Duration is about 1 1/2 hours. For younger kids there is a pirate trail to follow whilst they go round. I feel that the price for entry is too high, especially as there is no discount for children or seniors.

Very nice place to visit. Lots of interesting animals to look at, we even saw an embryo shark. Staff was friendly, spoke great English. They were understanding when it was our booked time to enter but our toddler fell asleep - they allowed us to come back an hour later. The only thing is, it was finished quicker than I thought. Probably depends on how long you look at each species. We just thought the place was a bit bigger, plus toddler looses attention quickly. Might be better for bigger children :)

We had a two hour tour and it was amazing. The ticket booking process was very easy and the place was not so crowded before noon. Recommend for families during Munchen visit.

Not much to see. It should have more inhabitants. The ticket is for 2 hours, but you finish in 30 minutes. The price is irrationally high.

There is a nice variety of sea life in the museum. Some interactive attractions for kids, although many of them in German only. There is availability of 2 types of tickets- online and purchasing on-site. Maybe this was busy time on Sunday, but the queue was moving very slowly for the ones who wanted to buy tickets on-site. When purchasing on-line ticket watch out carefully the location of SeaLife museum! It does not state the location on the ticket and unfortunately we have made a purchase to a wrong museum in another location in Germany. Which has actually meant that we have arrived to the museum at our reserved time but we were asked to stand in the general queue for an hour to purchase new tickets and get the admission to the museum. There were few more visitors who have also bought wrong tickets same as us. Also staff confirmed this is rather common mistake by the visitors. Museum staff was nice and kind and have asked only for the price difference between the tickets. But standing in the queue for an hour has been extremely tiring experience for us and the kids. Also for the other little visitors, as we could see: most of the time the queue is outside with no shelter from the sunshine or rain. No availability of benches or sitting places for mothers with babies. Even with an online ticket you cannot arrive earlier than your reserved time and still you may be expected to stand in the queue for some 10- 15 min to pass the entrance. The museum is in rather small premises, perhaps this is the way how they manage the visitor’s flow. Despite nice variety of sea life, for the management It is worth considering few small adjustments and making the admission experience more welcoming for the kids and the parents, I think. If you feel ready for the museum, my advice would be definitely buying the on-line ticket and definitely the correct one:)

We were very disappointed. It was supercrowded, we could hardly see the aquariums and it was super noisy. They let way too many people in. Maybe it was so crowded because it was a rainy day. Also we were disappointed about the size of the place. For €24 per person we expected a better experience. We were already at the exit when we felt that it finally got started. On a positive note, we saw some fantastic fish like mudskippers and the short dragon fish. Animal welfare was also well ensured. Staff was friendly and enthusiastic.

We have been to many Sea Life locations and this was is a little smaller than the others. We enjoy aquariums and learning something each one we visit. We knew what to expect and was a stop to break up our day while in the area visiting BMW and the park. It's a nice place for younger kids to visit or a way to escape some heat or rain when in Munich.

Highly recommend! We loved it and enjoyed listening to Klaus's really informative talks. He was very enthusiastic and we learned a lot about sharks. We truly loved it.

Amazing sea life preserved well. Well maintained and educational. Informative and immersive for the kids and adults alike.

This wasn’t top of our list for places to go in Munich, but after three days of rain it turned out to be a brilliant place to visit for the kids. We spent almost two hours here, and the kids were enthralled by the sharks, rays, jellyfish and everything else in all the tanks. There are more than enough rooms and viewpoints to keep them interested, different tanks with different creatures, and even the chance to handle some of the things you find under the water. Some of the rooms towards the start did get a little crowded, but it thins out as you go. You might have to queue outside if it’s busy - the staff were handing out umbrellas while we waited - but they keep the queue moving. Make sure you hunt around for discount leaflets or offers - we got 25% off with our Munich travel card, but I’m sure there are other (possibly better) deals as well, as no-one seemed to be paying full price.
